We’re just a week away from Thanksgiving.  Here we go again…a holiday season is upon us.

There is just nothing easy about handling the holidays when cancer is in the way.  What’s a patient to do? What’s a caregiver to do?

This community is so good at solutions, that I thought I’d ask for help on this topic.  Suggestions, ideas, tricks to get through the season are happily welcomed here.

For those of us who are few years out of the battle, it’s still an issue.  I’m not going to sit here and tell you I’m over missing Leroy at the holidays.  You bet I do.  We had so many fun traditions to mark the season and those are now tucked away with the ornaments.  I cherish the memories, but they don’t come close to having him here to make new ones.

So it’s time to share some ideas.  It’s time to ‘lift’ again, because I know, at some point in the next few weeks, we’re all going to need a little help from our friends.
