This is for Kathie.
This hangs on my wall at home..I hope you find some comfort in it. We are all so sorry for your loss.
It is written by Elizabeth Lucas.
“Sisters at Heart”
Sisters are born to each other,
Or happen through friendships by fate
But however it happens or when, Nature has given a gift that is great.
Being true sisters means loving, and listening when problems loom grand.
No one’s comfort or kindness could feel better, than the touch of a sister’s kind hand.
Complaining of life’s hassles and hurting,
Or simply meeting each other for fun,
A sister’s friendship and warm gentle greeting, is like basking in bright winter sun.
Sisters always find time to share laughter, or to argue a point to complain
For there are times when sisters will differ, but their love will always remain.
So here’s to the world’s greatest sisters, the ones who remain friends from the start
Thery’re the ones picked by each other,
Because they truly are sisters at heart!

Laurie, I am so touched that you posted this…it describes our relationship pretty much to a “t”. We were best of friends and near the end I held her hand so much and she would reach for it and me when I came to her bedside. As difficult as it was to lose her, I am so comforted knowing I was able to be there for her.
Mo…it really does. I think it will have a place with a photo of her beautiful face.
