Tomorrow Can Only Be Better….
When Leroy was in the middle of his cancer fight, a very good friend of his presented him with one of his favorite poems because he felt Leroy really needed a constant reminder that tomorrow can only be better….in other words stay positive, stay in the game and look to the future. It’s written on a square of a magnet and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve looked at it, read it and felt its force.
Today being the beginning of Spring, and what a beautiful blooming season it is, I thought I’d pass it along. I”m sure many of you know it and maybe have even used it to power through a few tough days yourself.
Look To This Day (Kalidasa)
Look to this day for it is life,
In its brief course lie all
the realities and truths of existence,
the joy of growth, the glory of action,
the splendor of beauty…
today well lived makes every
yesterday a memory of happiness
and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
look well, therefore, to this day….
Here’s to tomorrow…Happy Spring.

At one of my sister’s doctors visits, a man in the waiting room handed her a business size card with a cross and scripture on it. Until the end she kept that card in her hand or very close by. I like to think it comforted her in some way. We all hold onto something, tangible or intangible.

Well said…..we all have our prayers, mantras, poems and sayings that we latch onto during difficult times. The simplicity of the message is often its power to stir us, to cause us to say “Not today, O’ death, not today” and our soul responds, reinvigorated for one more moment.
