I’ve been worried and wondering where you were and what was happening in your life. Your words have knocked me off my chair.
Truly, I can’t say how sorry I am to hear this sad news. The conqueror of so many battles with cancer and the ultimate care giver to a loving wife is hurting beyond words.
There is no medicine, no salve that can take away this pain. It is raw and open and must heal with time and love from family and friends.
Al, I don’t have to tell you that you must dig so deeply to find strength from a place in your heart that is reserved only for times like this.
The care giving you gave to your beloved was your final gift to her. You did all the right things, and she was so lucky to have you.
Time for your family to return the gift. YOU are the one in need of care and they will be there to GIVE. Accept it and use it as a cushion to soften the loss.
Prayers and love to you.
