There’s just too much cancer in the world.
It brings new meaning to the phrase “cancer load.”
Normally, doctors explain that when the disease spreads, the “cancer load” reaches the tipping point in the body. There’s no turning back, the body doesn’t have the ammunition nor the stamina to fight any more. It’s cancer versus healthy tissue and cancer is the conqueror.
The cancer load can be counted in another way too.
Look at it from the standpoint of the numbers of our family and friends who have been touched by this disease. I don’t know anyone who hasn’t been scarred by cancer. If the Kimmel Cancer Center is an example of where cancer numbers are going in this country, it’s obvious the arrow is only pointing upward. The patient count is rising and the challenges to the researchers and clinicians is unbelievable. They can’t work hard enough or fast enough to get ahead of this disease.
There’s a reason that parking lot is always full; there’s too much cancer in the world.
The cancer load is on OVER load.
